This study aims to develop performance evaluation indicators to enhance the effectiveness of the ‘MICE Integrated District’ and lay the foundation for the initial settlement of it. Preliminary indicators were derived from relevant research and business plans of designated cities, and then in-depth interviews and 3-round Delphi surveys were conducted. As a result, 36 performance evaluation indicators were derived, which were classified into nine categories. This study is meaningful in preparing basic data to assess the performance of related projects of the MICE Integrated District for the first time. In addition, performance evaluation indicators derived from this study are expected to be used as guidelines for the revitalization of the MICE Integrated District. Moreover, this study suggests that activation strategies should be established from a mid- to long-term perspective to enhance the regional and national MICE competitiveness.
