본 연구는 양성평등 교육을 위한 동화 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 2학년을 연구대상으로 하여 프로그램을 적용하고 양성평등 의식의 변화를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 실험결과, 동화를 활용한 양성평등 교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 양성평등 의식을 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 양성평등 의식의 하위변인으로 설정한 가정생활, 학교생활, 직업생활, 사회문화생활 있어 프로그램 투입이후 많은 향상을 나타냈다. 특히, 저학년 아동에게 생소하고 교육하기에 다소 어려운 성역할의 불평등, 전통적으로 형성된 여성상의 문제점 등을 이해시키고 발전시키는데 효과적이었다. 이러한 결과는 양성평등 교육에 있어 동화 활용의 가치를 말해주며, 동화의 보다 폭넓은 교육적 적용 가능성을 시사한다. 좀 더 다양하고 회기를 늘린 체계적인동화 교육프로그램을 개발하여 일반화한다면 교육현장에 많은 도움이 될 것이다.
Abstract
The aims of this study was to develop educational program using fairy tale for the gender equality. The second grade classes in elementary school were selected for test group. The results of this study were the educational program for gender equality using fairy tale had an effect on improving the gender equality attitude and consciousness. And the test group which the program was applied showed a significant increase in gender equality attitude and consciousness compared with the pretest. The conclusion of this study can be summarized that using the fairy tale for the gender equality education is effective method. So we need to develop delicate fairy tale program for the gender equality education to accept the positive points of view about gender.
