이야기 전자책의 교육적 가치 및 활용에 대한 초등교사 인식 분석 -서울지역 초등학교 교사를 중심으로

이 연구는 초등교사들이 이야기 전자책의 교육적 활용 가치를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 4차 산업혁명이라는 시대적 변화와 COVID-19 팬데믹은 온택트 문화를 확산시키고 있으며, 문식환경의 변화 속에서 전자책 선호도가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서울지역 초등학교에 근무하는 20대∼50대 초등교사 중에서 아동문학교육 및 독서 교육에 관심이 높은 12명을 선정하여 개별 비구조화 심층 면담을 시행하였다. 연구에 참여한 초등교사들의 이야기 전자책에 대한 기본적인 선호도는 매우 상반적으로 분석되었다. 주로 얼리어댑터로서 전자기기를 선호하는 교사들과 종이책에 대한 정서적 애착이 많은 교사들은 그들의 기각된 가치를 유지하고자 하는 경향이 나타났다. 반면 이야기 전자책이 시대적 변화에 따라 교육현장에서 받아들여야만 하는 책의 양식이라는 인식은 동일했다. 교육적 활용 측면에서는 다양한 의견들이 공존했다. 주요 쟁점은 학습자의 문자 습득의 여부에 따른 전자책 적용 여부, 흥미 위주의 독서와 정독 위주의 독서에 대한 적합성 여부, 전자단말기 사용으로 인한 학생 건강 우려, 전자저작물의 온라인 사용 저작권과 전송권에 대한 우려 등이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine how elementary school teachers perceive the educational use value of story e-books. The change of the times and the COVID-19 pandemic of the 4th Industrial Revolution are spreading the ontact culture, and the preference for e-books is increasing amid changes in the literary environment. In this study, 12 elementary school teachers in their 20s and 50s working at elementary schools in Seoul were selected and individual unstructured in-depth interviews were conducted. The basic preferences of elementary school teachers who participated in the study for story e-books were analyzed very bilaterally. Teachers, who prefer electronic devices, are mainly early adopters while teachers, who have a lot of emotional attachment to paper books, tend to maintain their rejected values. On the other hand, there was the same perception that story e-books were a form of books that had to be accepted in the educational field according to the changes of the times. In terms of educational application, various opinions coexisted. It was confirmed that the main issues were whether e-books were applied according to the learner's acquisition of text, suitability for interest-oriented reading and reading, student health concerns due to the use of electronic terminals, and online copyright and transmission rights of electronic works.
