한⋅중 주요 시조신화 중 난생신화의 연구

한국과 중국 양국은 일찍이 동일한 문화권 속에 생활해왔던 까닭에 양국의시조신화에서도 유사한 난생형 신화를 찾아 볼 수 있다. 양국의 대부분의 시조신화는 등장하는 인물들은 비록 역사사실에 기초하지는 않는다.그러나 국가의 정통성을 위해 이들을 영웅화하거나 사실 인물로 그려지는 과정을 거치기도 한다.이러한 과정을 거친 민족 시조는 양국의 문헌뿐 만아니라 ,후세의 각종 문헌에서도 찾아볼 수 있어 그 영향이 지대했음을알 수 있다. 양국의 방대한 자료를 활용한 양국의 시조신화를 살펴보기에는 지면상 어려움이 있다.그래서 중국이 지닌 수많은 시조신화 가운데 저명한 현조신화와 반고신화 등과 우리의 유명한 고구려의 주몽신화와 신라의 박혁거세와 석탈해등의 시조신화의 특징이라고도 할 수 있는 난생신화를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 또한 고대 중국의 유명한 시조의 난생신화가 신화의 발달과정에서 후대 신화와 양국의 신화에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보았다.
Abstract
Due to the similar cultures that were observed by both ancient Korea and China, these two countries shared very similar “Offspring-By-Eggs” myths, in their Principal Founder Mythologies. Most characters in founder mythologies are not based on historical facts but rather, they are illustrated as human-type figures that are considered heroes of their nations and reinforce their respective customs. We can see these national progenitors in present, and historical literature for both countries. This would indicate that these figure are still influential today. It is difficult to compare between both countries founder mythologies due to there being so many references and materials. In this text,we will be comparing the very famous Chinese Xuanniao’s and Pangu mythology with Korean Zhumeng mythology, and how their respective cultural characteristics differ. We will also explore how ancient Chinese “offspringby-eggs” myths, influenced more modern day mythologies, as well as Korean mythology.
