본 연구는 2010년부터 2017년까지 한계기업 자료를 활용하여 회생개시결정 가능성에 미치는 결정요인을 확인하고, 한계기업의 특성에 따라 주요변수의 영향력이 달라지는지 확인하는것에 목적이 있다. 분석 결과, 한계기업의 회생개시결정 가능성은 해당기업의 기업규모와 성장성, 수익성, 건전성, 활동성, 생산성 측면에서의 재무비율과 한계상황 지속기간 등에 복합적인 영향을 받는것으로 나타났다. 또한, 기준시점, 소재지역, 업종 등으로 한계기업을 구분할 경우 집단 간회생개시결정 가능성에 미치는 일부 설명변수의 영향력이 달라지는 것을 확인했다. 본 연구는 회생개시결정 가능성 추정을 통해 경영정상화가 예상되는 한계기업을 사전적으로 선별하기 위한 분석을 진행했다는 점과 증거변수를 활용하여 변수 간 비단조적 관계성을고려하여 한계기업의 회생개시결정 가능성에 미치는 결정요인의 영향력을 추정한 것에 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to presume the determinants of the decision on commencement of rehabilitation procedure for the marginal companies between 2010 and 2017, and then to see whether those effects vary depending on the marginal companies’ characteristics. As a result of this analysis, it is found that the possibilities of the decision of commencement of rehabilitation are affected by several factors including firm size, growth indicators, profitability indicators, leverage indicators, activity indicators, productivity indicators and the duration of marginal situation. In the in-depth study, the estimation results show that the determinants’ effects on the decision of commencement of rehabilitation can be changed according to marginal firms’ characteristics. The contribution of this paper is to presume the determinants of the decision on commencement of rehabilitation procedure of the marginal firms using categorized continuous variables and to shed lights on the necessity of considering those companies’ characteristics for predicting the possibilities of rehabilitation
