한국사상에 관한 ‘고등학교 교육과정’의 혁신방안 모색- 교육부 고시 ‘2015 개정 고등학교 교육과정’의 문제를 중심으로 -

Abstract

This thesis aims at suggesting the structural problems of high school curriculum that has failed to offer the educational opportunity for students to learn Korean philosophy, and the issues regarding the organization and contents of the high school moral education textbook including Korean philosophy, and laying the academic foundation to find innovation in high school curriculum of Korean philosophy. When the current high school curriculum is investigated, ‘Korean history’ has been designated along with ‘Korean language’ as a common subject of a basic area that all the students are required to complete. Yet, as for 'Korean philosophy', there's no subject on is own, so the educational structure is abnormal. Although it is education of Korean philosophy that is necessarily demanded for the establishment of identity as Koreans and for development of character, in the educational reality of Korea, it is difficult for students to have even the chance to study Korean philosophy systematically. It would be hard in the whole world to find another country like Korea that emphasizes the education of its own language and history in particular, but provides no educational opportunity for its students to learn about the philosophy and ideology with its own spirit of liberal arts. In this thesis, based on the problems above, the structural problems of '2015 high school curriculum' by the Ministry of Education, which has been implemented since 2018 and failed to give most students the chance to study Korean philosophy, were diagnosed, and short-term, mid-term and long-term alternatives were proposed. In addition, with the diagnosis of the organization and contents of the high school moral education textbook covering Korean philosophy, the ways to induce reflective self-awareness centered around Korean philosophy and to search for moral meanings were examined. If the academic world has interest in the problems of the education of Korean philosophy and intends to conduct in-depth study on them henceforth, it is expected that the curriculum related to Korean philosophy will be able to be innovated, and therefore the Korean spirit of humanities which can integrate east and west and north and south will be able to be developed.
