[소학]의 청소년 교육 방법 연구

소학은 지식위주의 교육보다 생활예절의 실천을 통해 바람직한 삶의 태도와 가치관 확립을 유도하는 청소년 교육교재이다. 소학에서 말하는 청소년 교육은 일상의 규범 을 실천하는 과정에서 원만한 인성을 갖추고, 신중한 생활자세를 유지하며, 자아성찰의 계기를 부여하여 인간의 본질을 스스로 깨닫게 만드는 것이다. 본 논문은 현대사회의 교 육에서 약화되고 있는 인성교육에 초점을 두고 생활교육을 강조한 소학의 청소년 교 육에서 그 대안을 찾고자 한다. 이에 소학에 나타난 청소년 교육 원리를 習與智長의 원리, 下學上達의 원리, 自己省察의 원리 3가지로 요약했다. 아울러 청소년 교육 방법을 구 체적인 실천과정과 내면화 교육과정으로 구분하여 살펴보았다.
Abstract
Sohak is educational material for youths to help them set right attitude towards life and moral standards by practicing courtesies rather than teaching them knowledge. Sohak's youth education is all about nurturing all-rounded character by practicing everyday rules, maintaning discreet attitude towards life, and having them realize human nature themselves by providing them opportunities for self-examination. This paper studies focuses on how modern education lost its function to build youths' character and finds an alternative solution in Sohak that places great emphasis on character building in youth education. With this aim, this paper can summarize youth education into three principles: ‘wisdom development with practice’ principle, ‘studies-low-and-penetration-rises-high’ principle, ‘self-examination’ principle. Moreover, this paper studies Sohak's pedagogy by separating concrete practicing process from internalization process.
