Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the maximum allowable payload on cable routes, from the point of initiating timber extraction to theYarder in a cable logging system, to support safe decision-making in cable logging operations. To achieve this, a model predictingchanges in the allowable payload was implemented. Sensitivity analyses were performed on key factors affecting cable logging systemoperation, including terrain conditions, Yarder height, cable diameter, towing methods for logs, and operational techniques. The resultsrevealed that the selection of concave terrain in the cable installation plan significantly impacts safety and efficiency. Moreover, it wasfound that various factors in the system, such as Yarder height, wire rope diameter, towing methods for logs, and operational techniques, affect the production output. These findings underscore the importance of analyzing allowable payload for cable route planning andevaluating various operational factors in the cable logging system's domestic implementation and dissemination.
