인지언어학 관점에서 본 스페인어 비양도성 신체 소유구문 분석

본 논문의 목적은 스페인어에서 신체 부위를 나타내는 소유구문 중 문제가 된 몇 개의 구문에 대해 인지문법에 근거한 분석방법을 제안하는 것이다. 스페인어 비양도성 신체 소유구문에서는 소유자 논항이 동사의 여격대명사로 실현되고 비양도성 논항 즉 피소유체는 직접목적어로 실현되는데, 이때 소유사를 쓰지 않고 정관사를 쓴다. 지금까지 이 구문들에서 비양도성 논항이 왜 소유자 논항에 묶여 의존적인 통사적 행태를 보이는지를 설명하고자 한 다수의 선행연구가 있었다. 이 선행연구들의 성과를 점검하면서 미완의 해결되지 않은 세 가지 문제를 도출했고, 인지문법 관점에서 설명하고자 했다. 본고에서 다룬 세부 주제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소유자 논항이 가지는 [+피영향성]과 [+유생성] 자질을 적용해도 설명력이 떨어지는 구문들과 둘째, 신체 부위를 나타내는 피소유체가 정관사가 아닌 다른 한정사, 예컨대 지시사와 부정어 등이 사용된 예외적인 구문들이다. 마지막으로 외재적 소유구문에서는 성상형용사 및 전치사구에 의한 수식이 불가한데 내재적 소유구문일 때는 비록 신체부위 명사가 사용되었음에도 불구하고 이런 수식어를 동반하는 것이 가능한 이유를 설명하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to suggest an analysis based on Cognitive Linguistics for some problematic possessive constructions related to body's parts in Spanish. In corporal inalienable possessive constructions in Spanish the possessor argument is realized as a dative complement of the verb and the inalienable argument as direct object which contains a definite article not a possessive adjective. There have been many studies that tried to explain why in those constructions the inalienable argument is syntactically bound to the possessor argument. Through revising their results, we found three topics not explained sufficiently and tried to clarify them from the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics. The problematic constructions about body's parts treated in our investigation are the following: first, some constructions which could not be explained satisfactorily by applying an explanation based on [+affectedness] or [+animacy] as features of the possessor argument and second, some exceptional constructions whose inalienable argument doesn't have definite article but another determiners like demonstrative or indefinite. Finally, we tried to explain why external possessive constructions can not be modified by qualifying adjective or prepositional phrase but internal possessive constructions can be so even though they contain body's part noun.
