초록

스페인어에서 나타나는 여격을 통한 소유관계의 표현은 유사한 구조의 구문이 없는 언어를 모국어로 사용하는 학습자들에게 생경하다. 한국인 학습자 역시 소유여격과 소유사를 사용한 구문(se me torció el tobillo/se torció mi tobillo)의 의미 차이에 대한 이해가 충분하지 않은 실정이다. 소유여격은 소유자가 사건의 결과로 인한 수혜자 또는 피해자임을 의미하는 피영향성을 수반한다. 이 논문에서는 소유여격구문을 부분과 전체, 귀속, 친족관계로 나누어 의미적 특성과 사용상의 제약을 분석한다. 교육 일선에서 피영향성을 함께 다루어 소유여격구문에 대한 이해를 증진하는 데 일조하고자 하는 목적으로 이 부분은 일상적인 언어로 풀어서 기술하였으며 다수의 상세한 예문을 제시하였다. 이후 이론적 논의를 전개하여 소유와 피영향성의 개념을 중심으로 소유여격과 수령자 또는 기점을 의미하는 일반적인 용법의 여격을 하나의 범주로 통합하여 설명한다.

Abstract

Speakers of languages without possessive dative constructions feel unfamiliar with the way Spanish occasionally expresses possessive relation through the dative case. Koreans also struggle to understand the semantic difference between constructions with possessive datives and possessives such as se me torció el tobillo/se torció mi tobillo. The possessive dative entails affectedness indicating that the possessor eventually becomes a beneficiary or a victim of the event. This paper divides dative possessive constructions in Spanish into three types, that is, part-whole, belonging and kinship, and analyzes their semantic properties and restrictions laid down by context. This part is stated without relying on theoretical terms and provides plenty of detailed examples in hopes that the notion of affectedness is introduced in Korean ELE classes so that dative possessive constructions could be better understood. Then, an explanation is given that the possessive dative and the ordinary dative with the meaning of recipient or source are different instances of a same functional category codifying possession and affectedness.
