『바다의 성당』 :탈구조적 시각에서 바라본 소수자의 반란

시대적으로 중심 문화와 주변 문화의 경계가 무너지고 다양한 소수 문화가 독자적인 가치를 획득해 가는 21세기에 문화 정체성은 역동적이고 개방적임에도 불구하고 코로나와 같이 생존을 위협하는 재앙 속에서 우리는 또다시 마녀사냥과 같은 혐오주의를 경험할 수밖에 없다는 현실에 직면하였다. 코로나 시대를 맞이하여 우리는 코로나에 맞먹는 심리적 압박 속에서 마녀사냥식의 혐오주의가 초래하는 비이성의 시대를 경험하였기에 중세 이베리아 반도에서의 유대인에 대한 혐오주의의 면면들을 살펴보고, 그 배경과 원인을 들뢰즈의 리좀적 사고에 기초한 ‘소수자 되기’이론으로 분석해봄으로써 소수자에 대한 다수자들의 횡포, 즉 이분법적 사고가 초래하는 파괴성을 확인하고자 하였다. 『바다의 성당』분석을 통해 유대인 마녀사냥의 폭력성에 맞서 자신의 생명과 권리를 포기하는 희생정신과 차이를 초월하는 소통과 공감 능력이 반유대주의를 극복하는 지름길임을 알게 되었다. 그리고 들뢰즈의 ‘소수자 되기’이론의 궁극적인 지향점이 차이를 초월하는 소통과 공감 능력을 획득하는 것임을 알게 되었다.
Abstract
In the era of Corona, we experienced an era of irrationality caused by witch-hunt under psychological pressure equivalent to Corona, so we examined the aspects of antisemitism in the Iberian Peninsula of the Middle Ages, and analyzed the background and cause using Deleuze's theory of "becoming minor" based on rhizomatic thinking to confirm the tyranny of the majority against minorities, that is, the destruction caused by dichotomous thinking. In the 21st century, when the boundaries between the central and surrounding cultures are collapsing and various minority cultures acquire their own values, we are faced with the reality that we have no choice but to experience disgust such as a witch hunt in a disaster that threatens survival like Corona. We learned that acquiring communication and empathy that transcends differences in the spirit of sacrifice, which gives up life and rights in the face of a antisemitism in the Cathedral of the Sea, is a shortcut to overcoming disgust.
