Abstract
There is an old saying, "If good thing happens, it's because of me, If bad thing happens, it's because of forefathers". This old saying show us human's natural tendency: Something that they did there own, if its result is good, they think that because they did well, but if its result is bad, they find someone to blame. This behavior tendency is called "self-serving attribution bias", and it has been researched a lot by psychologist. Researchers explain self-serving attribution bias as motivational aspect and information processing aspect. As motivational aspect, self enhancing that try to protect its own self-esteem makes self-serving attribution bias. This study doubts normal option that self-serving attribution bias is come from motivative purpose named enhancing self-esteem, and find out the direct effect more straightforwardly. we are going to devide the kind of affect as happiness, sadness, anger and proceed the research. this derives conclusion that negative affect makes attribution stronger: no relation with enhancing self-esteem.
