온라인 커뮤니티를 중심으로 살펴 본 사이버환경의 교육적 가능성본 연구의 목적은 사이버환경의 교육적 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 온라인 커뮤니티에 대한 질적 연구를 실시하였다. 질적 자료는 온라인 커뮤니티에의 참여 관찰, 반 구조화된 심층 면담, 이메일 교환 자료, 토론 결과와 설문지등을 통해 수집하여 분석하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구는 IT 활용교육에 초점을 두었음에도 불구하고, 실제 연구 과정에서 발견된 중요한 이슈는 교사와 학생간의 상호작용과 의사소통으로 나타났다. 학생들의 학습 과정을 연구할 때 사람, 그들의 행동, 상호작용과 협동 능력이 가장 중요한 이슈로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 교육에서 IT의 역할이 점점 강조되는 시기에, 교육은 인간의 가치와 IT를 접목시키는데 초점을 두어야 함을 제안하는 바이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to explore the students’ understanding through learning in an informal learning environment and a virtual context making use of a qualitative research perspective. To explore the multimedia dimensions of online learning, this study focuses on an online learning community in virtual space. This study investigates drawings as well as e-mail, discussion forums and electronic network chatting, in order to explore the multimedia dimensions of online work. As a result, in the virtual classroom, in order to create a community it is crucial to make room for the personal, that is, everyday life. The following issues are the ones we deal with over and over as we build learning communities; human contact, responsibility, rules, roles, norms, participation, psychological and spiritual issues.
