인간은 언어로 세계를 구분 짓고 대상을 개념화 한다. 언어를 통해 사유하고 소통하고 있으나 한편으로는 그 언어의 구속력이나 폭력성을 인지하지 못한 채, 언어가 지배하는 의식적 표준만을 따라가고 있는 것이다. 이러한 세계의 흐름 속에서 언어의 한계에서 벗어나 언어의 바깥을 사유하고자 한 블랑쇼의 철학적 관점은 오늘날 우리 교육에 새로운 인식의 전환점을 가져다 줄 수 있다. 보이는 것, 실재하는 것에 의존하여 시각적 이미지에 권위를 부여하는 문화 속에서 블랑쇼의 바깥의 사유는 비실재하는 것을 주목하게 만든다. 대상의 외부가 아닌 내부, 중심에 집중하는 것으로, 자연적인 상태의 이미지로 사유하는 것이다. 블랑쇼의 언어의 바깥, 즉 이미지로 사유하기의 방법은 오늘날 보이는 것, 실재하는 것 등 언어에 의존된 교육 방법적 측면에서 언어의 관념적 경계를 허물고, 이미지라는 새로운 관점으로 사고할 필요성과 그 방향성을 제시해 줄 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 블랑쇼에 대한 연구는 현 우리의 교육에 주는 의의를 고찰해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공해 준다.
Abstract
As human beings we understand the world around us through language and conceptualize objects. This understanding is based on a set of conscious standards dominated by language and often without recognizing the binding force or aggression of language. In a world prompted by this trend, the philosophical point of view of Blanchot that intends to reason the outward (la pensée du dehors) of language beyond the limitations of language can constitute a new turning point in our education today. In a culture of giving authority to visual images with dependence on what is visible and what is real, Blanchot’s “thought from outward" calls our attention to the nonexistence. It is to reason with the image in its pristine state, focusing on the inward and the center of the object, rather than the outward. The outward of Blanchot’s language, i.e., the way of reasoning with image, shows the necessity and direction of reasoning with a new viewpoint called image, breaking down the conceptual boundary of language in a context of educational method which is dependent upon language such as what is seen today and what is real. In this regard, studies on Blanchot provide an opportunity to consider the significance of our present education.
