본 연구는 역동적인 힘을 통한 이미지의 변형에 중점을 두고 상상력을 연구한 바슐라르의 이론을 분석하여 어린이 상상력 교육에 줄 수 있는 시사점을 살펴보고 있다. 바슐라르에게 있어 상상력은 기존의 이미지의 형성이나 재현이 아니라 이미지의 결합, 변형, 창조이다. 이러한 상상력과 이미지를 연구하는 데 있어 바슐라르는 그의 저서 물과 꿈과 몽상의 시학 을 통해 어린 시절을 강조하며, 어린이의 상상력을 중요시 하고 있다. 바슐라르가 강조한 물질적 상상력과역동적 상상력을 오늘날의 환경에 맞게 어린이에게적용하여 어린 시기부터 자연스럽게 상상하는 힘을기를 수 있는 토대를 마련해주고 여건을 조성해주는교육을 해야 한다. 상상력 교육은 개념의 정립이나 구조화만으로 해결되는 것이 아니라 이론의 바탕 아래실제적이고 실천적인 방법을 통한 적용으로 이루어져야 한다.
Abstract
This study explores the importance of child imagination based on an analyzes of Bachelard’s theory of imagination placing an emphasis on image transformation through dynamic force, and its practical implications for child education. In his ground breaking study of imaginations and images, Bachelard emphasizes the imagination of children and suggests the importance of child imagination as a prototype of happiness and communication in his books L’eau et les rêves and La poétique de la rêverie. Bachelard, presented a new concept and direction for imagination and images because for him imagination is not the ability to form or reproduce existing images, but the union, transformation, and creation of new images. This imagination can therefore be classified into morphological imagination, material imagination, and dynamic imagination. Child educators should provide the foundation and conditions necessary for children to be able to use their imagination naturally through the practical application of materials based on insights from Bachelard’s imagination and dynamic imagination. Imagination education should not be executed by conceptualization or structuring, but by actual and practical methods based on the theory.
