초록
양질의 특수교사는 질 높은 특수교육을 제공하는데 그 기본이 된다. 그러나 특수교육 교사 양성의 체제는 특수교육의 특수성, 교육정책 그리고 사회적인 현상과 더불어 다양한 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 요구되는 특수교사의 수에 비해 너무 많은 양성기관에 따른 수급 불균형의 문제, 양성기관에서 운영되는 교육과정이 기준이 없는 일관성 부재의 문제, 외국에 비하여 부족한 교육실습의 한계 및 교사 임용 선발 과정상의 문제 등 다양한 문제를 동반하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 특수교육 교원의 양성, 특수교육 교사의 자격부여 정책, 그리고 요구되는 특수교육교사의 역할과 자질 등을 외국의 사례와 비추어 살펴보았다. 이 논의를 바탕으로 현 특수교육 교사 양성에 대한 문제점을 분석하고 이에 따른 개선방안을 제시한다.
Abstract
To establish qualified special education, the chaining system of teacher training program, curriculum guidelines, teacher selective examination should be importantly considered. However, problems in terms of the system are still existed due to specialty of special education, educational policies, some phenomena based on social circumstance. The problems are related to overly abundant teacher training programs in too many colleges and graduate schools, inconsistent curriculum, lack of specific guidelines for teacher training, insufficient practicum and internship, and the process of teacher selection. The current study discussed issues related to those problems in depth. Based on the problems, this study reviews cases of other countries and suggested improvement ideas for the process of teacher training, selection, educational policies
