이 연구는 수학 수업에서 나타나는 특수교육 대상 학생들의 수학 학습 특성의 다양성을 알아보는 데에 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 수학 교육에 전문적인 경험을 갖춘 21명의 특수교사들을 대상으로 구조화된 개별 면담과 반구조화된 추가 면담을 실시하였다. 이 연구를 통해얻은 결과는 첫째, 특수교육 대상 학생들의 수학 학습 특성은 낮은 흥미와 낮은 주의집중과 같은 부적절한 학습 특성뿐만 아니라 시각적 정보처리 활용, 뛰어난 암기력과 같은 바람직한 학습 특성이다양하게 나타났다. 둘째, 특수교육 대상 학생들의 수학 학습 수행 수준은 수학의 내용 영역과 적용하는 교육과정에서 폭넓은 범위에 걸쳐 다양하게 나타났다. 셋째, 특수교육 대상 학생들의 개인내차이에서는 수학의 내용 영역 간의 차이와, 수학 학습 능력과 실생활 문제해결능력 간의 차이가 큰것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 수학 수업의 질 개선을 위한 몇 가지 논의와 후속연구를 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the diversity of mathematicslearning in students with special needs. In order to carry out theresearch, we selected 21 special education teachers who had experienceteaching mathematics and had expertise in this subject throughpurposive sampling. And conducted a qualitative research centering oninterviews with 21 sample participants. The researchers developed structured written interviews and conductedwritten interviews with all participants. In addition, we plannedadditional interviews. Additional interviews were conducted by purposivesampling 9 participants in semi-structured interview format. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the characteristics ofmathematics learning of students with special needs were not onlynegative learning characteristics but also positive or unique learningcharacteristics. Second, the level of mathematics learning performance of the studentswith special needs appeared over a wide range. Third, the students with special needs also showed a wide range ofintra-individual difference.
