This study aims to empirically examine the correlation among employment uncertainty, job search effectiveness, and career readiness behaviors perceived by students majoring in aviation services, as well as to explore the mediating role of job search effectiveness. For this research, a survey was administered to 223 college students in aviation service-related departments, and statistical analysis of the survey data was conducted. As a result, firstly, it was established that the greater the perceived level of job insecurity and job insecurity-inducing situation among the factors of job insecurity among college students, the lower the job-seeking effectiveness. Second, it was confirmed that the higher the job-seeking efficacy of college students, the higher their job preparation behavior. Third, it was confirmed that the higher the perception of the job insecurity status and job insecurity-inducing situation among the factors of job insecurity among college students, the lower the job preparation behavior. Fourthly, upon assessing the mediating role of job-seeking efficacy in the association between job insecurity and career readiness behaviors, both were observed to exhibit a notable mediating impact. Among the factors of job insecurity, it was verified that the job insecurity status and job insecurity-inducing situation indirectly influenced job preparation behavior through the mediation of job-seeking efficacy. This study can provide basic data for improving the behavior of college students for employment.
