신문기사 제목의 직접인용 구조 분석 - 프랑스 신문을 중심으로 -

본 논문에서는 프랑스 신문기사 제목에 나타나는 직접인용 구조의 기능을 살펴보았다. 기사본문인 텍스트에서와 달리, 제목에서는 규범적인 직접인용 구조와는 다른 특별한 구조들이 나타나는데, 주로 도입동사가 생략된 A : « B » 구조와 함께 « B » : A 구조가 자주 사용되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 서술과 담화라는 다른 성격의 발화작용을 연결하는 이러한 이중구조는 쌍점의 도움으로 ‘전보 문체’와 같은 집약적인 연결체를 구성하게 된다. 인용과 그에 대한 메타담화의 연결은 발화체 안에 놓이는 순서에 따라 다른 의미관계를 보이는 것을 알 수 있다. 화자는 직접인용의 다양한 차원 - 발화체의 구성성분, 발화체, 발화작용 -을 선택하여 그에 대한 설명이나 주석, 평가 등을 덧붙일 수 있다. 대화주의적 관점에서 보면, 다른 목소리를 자신의 발화체 안에 개입시키는 상호담화적 대화주의 외에, 제목과 본문 사이에 존재하는 내부텍스트적 대화주의가 직접인용 구조를 통해 더 잘 드러날 수 있다. 나아가 인용에 대한 거리를 표시하면서도 구두점으로 인한 시각화 그리고 다른 목소리를 들리게 하는 듯한 청각화를 통해 독자의 주의를 끌고 붙잡아두는 효과를 가져올 수 있다.
Abstract
In this paper, we examined the function of the direct citation structure appearing in the headlines of French newspaper articles. Unlike the text, which is the body of the article, structures different from the normative direct citation structure appear in the title, mainly using the A : « B » structure and the « B » : A structure. This structure, which connects narration and discourse forms an intensive connection like 'telegraph style' with the help of the colon. It can be seen that the connection between a citation and its meta-discourse shows different semantic relationships depending on the order in which it is placed in the utterance. The journalist as a narrator can take various dimensions of direct citation - components of utterance, utterance, utterance act - and add explanations, annotations, evaluations, etc. Through visualization with the quatation mark that seems to make other voices heard, the reader's attention is drawn and held.
