This paper explores integrated teaching of World Englishes and global English cultures byutilizing multimedia resources in a blended learning context. On the questionnaires Koreanuniversity students demonstrate their awareness of the importance of understanding andlearning Englishes of the Outer Circle countries as well as the Inner Circle countries. Thispaper investigates the course called Understanding Global Englishes and Cultures, whichintroduces the linguistic features of World Englishes, and explores the socio-culturalbackgrounds and characteristics of the countries in which English is used as a native language,a primary language, and an official language. The course ultimately aims to promote globalknowledge and global English communication abilities required to Korean university studentsin their careers and professions. This study confirms the innovative integrated teaching aswell as the creative inquisitive learning of World Englishes and global English cultures,employing various multimedia resources and teaching·learning methodologies such ascooperative learning and blended learning.
