고백자 막시무스의 ‘하느님 사랑의 살아있는 이콘, 예수 그리스도’

현대의 많은 사람들은 치병, 장수, 사업의 성공이나 번창, 입학이나 취직 등 이런저런 세상의 복을 구하기 위해 신앙생활을 한다. 더 나아가 “예수님은 하느님이시다”라는 신앙고백만으로 그리스도교 신앙인들은 자신의복을 구하는 마음을 무기로 삼아 예수 그리스도는 단순히 신성을 지닌 초월적인 신앙의 대상, 즉 인간 본성의 고결함을 회복시킨 ‘사랑’으로써 드러난 그리스도의 인성과 신성의 자발적인 협력과는 전혀 무관한 신앙의대상처럼 여기는 단성론적 습성에 이미 젖어 들었는지도 모른다. 무엇이인간의 진정한 행복이며 우리가 추구할 최고의 가치, 최고의 사랑의 대상인가 하는 것이 문제다. 특별히 본 연구는 고백자 막시무스의 작품 Epistolae II와 Disputatio cum Pyrrho 그리고 Liber asceticus를 통해서 인간 본성의 고결함을 완성한 그리스도의 ‘사랑’의 실천 신학을 제시한다. 막시무스의 이러한 가르침은 현대의 신앙인들로 하여금 진정한 흠숭의 대상이자 육화하신 말씀 안에 존재하는 ‘사랑’과 공동 협력 하도록 초대한다. 구체적이고현실적으로 드러난 사랑 자체에로의 초대는 인류의 궁극적 미래 즉 가장신비롭고 가장 영예로운 인류의 신격화의 길을 밝혀준다. 사랑으로 승화된하느님의 ‘인간화’는 예수 그리스도가 인간과 비슷하게 되었다는 의미가아니기 때문이요, 그가 진실로 인간으로서 그 진정성과 실재성을 취하였음을 의미하기 때문이다. 더 나아가 본 연구는 막시무스의 그리스도의 두 의지론에 따라, 참된 인성을 지닌 하느님 예수 그리스도가 신앙인들에게 무슨 의미가 있는지 인간의 ‘신격화(divinizzazione)’의 과정에 이르는 인간 영혼의 총체적 역사의 과정을 그린 막시무스의 신학 안에서 제시한다. 그리스도 안에서 하느님의 자녀됨을 가능케 하는 성령의 태어남을 경험하기위해서 현대 신앙인들은 성자의 자기비허에 공동체적 일치를 이루어 ‘사랑의 실천’이라는 영광스러운 자유 안에서 각자의 삶을 꾸려 나가야한다.
Abstract
For the modern Christian believers, the real challenge is to avoid the monotheistic dangers to God Jesus Christ, who exists only as a transcendent object of faith. The human nature of Christ, revealed by the icon of God’s divine love, leads the believers to salvation realized through his human will, who is obedient to God until his death. In particular, this study presents the practical theology of Christ’s love, which is the nobleness of human nature through the works of the Confessor Maximus Epistolae II, Disputatio cum Pyrrho and Liber asceticus. This teaching of Maximus invites the modern believers to cooperate with the Love that exists in the incarnated Word and the invitation for the Most Holy and Divine Love reveals the ultimate future of mankind as the most mysterious and most honorable way of deification of mankind. Because the humanization of God sublimated by Love signifies that he really has taken up the authenticity and reality as a human being. And this study suggests what God Jesus Christ with true humanity means to believers in theology of two wills’ doctrine of Christ that depicts the process of the total history of the human soul for Deificatio. In order to experience the birth of the Holy Spirit that enables man to be a child in Christ, he must make his own life in the glorious freedom of ‘practice of love’ through a united consensus on Christ’s self-sacrifice.
