현대 사회는 날로 변화되고 그 속도 또한 빠르게 변하고 있다. 또한, 각 영역의 경계가 허물어지면서 상호간의 협력도 활발해지고 있다. 그 중에서도 설명적 성격을 갖고 있는 일러스트레이션은 현 시대의 회화, 디자인 영역을 막론하여 다양화된 분야로 점차 발을 넓히고 있다. 일러스트레이션은 유머스럽게 표현되거나 시대를 비판하는 풍자적 기능을 한다. 일러스트레이션의 이 같은 성격을 현대 회화사조인 팝 아트에서도 찾을 수가 있다. 팝 아트는 어휘 자체가 대중적 의미를 내포하고 있으며 현대 일러스트레이션과의 결합으로 다양한 이미지와 풍부한 표현기법에 선택의 폭을 넓힐 수 있다는 전제로 본 논문의 연구문제가 설정되었다. 팝 아트의 정신이 현대의 다양한 표현성과 기술을 기반으로 더욱 구체적이고 실질적인 모습으로 전개되고 있고, 이 같은 발전과정을 통해 현대일러스트레이션과 팝 아트의 상관관계를 분석 해 보았다. 그리고 앞으로의 현대 일러스트레이션의 많은 분야에 적용시켜 살펴봄으로써 상호 공존하는 예술로 발전시킬 수 있는 확장된 시각과 새로운 개념을 파악 할 수 있다.
Abstract
Modern society is changed every day and the speed is either. Also, the boundries between other areas are collapsing in each area and culture. and mutual collaboration is getting busy. Most of all, the elucidative illustration is gradually extending to various field irrespective of the present age's painting and designs areas. It also can be funny and it has satirical function which can criticize the age. Such characters can be found in Pop Art - Modern art trend. By joining Pop Art which lexically has popular meaning to illustration, the question of this thesis is set up on the assumption illustration can widen the choice of more various and plentiful Representation Techniques and Images. The spirit of Pop Art comes more concretely and substantially based diverse expressivities and skills of today. Through these process of development, it can be analyzed by correlation between modern illustration and pop art. Then the direction of modern illustration can be showed, And by applying illustration to many areas, new idea and expended view can be understood which are able to develop them more interacting.
