초록
It is imperative to rearrange battle lines against ever-evolving new types of cyber-attacks in a more comprehensive and integrative way, combing public and private efforts. For this, the introduction of the governance perspective might be advantageous in consolidating the cybersecurity system of the country on the basis of cooperation, coordination, and linkage among diverse policy actors. The cybersecurity governance system takes a step further from cybersecurity, by integrating the efforts of public and private actors in the process of tackling cyber-attacks. Among various targets of cyber-attacks, the Critical Infrastructure (CI) is a particularly important object to be protected, as it is an infrastructure with national importance, which underpins the security of a country’s population and economy. Against these backdrops, the purpose of this article is to analyze the United States' cybersecurity system with regard to critical infrastructure through the governance perspective, and then to draw policy implications to better tackle the increasing cyber-attacks in Korea.
