Abstract

It is expected that the future job environment will change in various ways due to recent technological advances such as AI, robots, and big data, as well as social and economic factors such as a decrease in birth rate, increase in the elderly population, and increase in social participation of the female population. In this study, we developed and applied a project-based AI career education program for elementary school students and analyzed its effectiveness. The students who participated in this study performed a certain amount of project learning and analyzed changes in their attitudes toward AI and career exploration capabilities before and after the activity. As a result of the analysis, a statistically significant level of change was confirmed. In order for AI career education to faithfully fulfill its role as education for social needs and future students, systematic teaching and learning methods that meet the AI and career education goals of each school level must be developed and effectiveness verified through field input.
