본 연구는 위성영상 및 지형도의 시기별(1894, 1902, 1980, 2002년 등) 분석을 통하여 북한의 대동강 지류인 곤양강, 매상천, 황주천과 대동강의 하류로 유입하는 재령강 하류에서의 하도변화를 파악한 것이다. 정치·경제적 조건이 다른 남한의 하천경관과의 비교를 위하여 만경강을 같은 방법으로 분석하였다. 북한의 이들 하천들의 해방이후부터 지금까지의 변화는 일제강점기와 비교할 때 거의 차이가 없었다. 부분적으로 절단되고 매립된 남한의 하천과는 달리, 북한의 하천은 구하도, 우각호, 저습지 등이 그대로 유지되어서 저수지 기능을 수행하고 있다. 본 연구는 북한의 지형변화는 물론 통일 후 국토관리를 위한 정보제공에 도움을 줄 것으로 본다.
Abstract
This study deals with the change of channel landscapes in Gonyanggang, Maedangcheon, Hwangjucheon, and Jaeryeonggang, running toward Daedong River’s lower leach in west coast zone of North Korea, using time-serial analysis by satellite images(2002 year) and topographical maps(1894, 1902, 1980 years), with comparison to Mangyeongang, west coast zone of South Korea, which has experienced the great changes of channel landscape. These present North Korea’s river channels have been not so much changed, artificially, in comparison to ones of early 1900 years, because of, maybe, very low economic support and serious political situation. In North Korea, many ancient channels, lakes, wetland have been used as reservoir for agricultural and industrial water supply. The results of the study may help to get geographical information and make policy for management of national land use and conservation, after national unification.
