스마트시티는 불교의 시각에서 보았을 때 연기론적 세계관을 반영하고 ‘一卽多 多卽一’의 사회에 해당하며 그 속에 사는 시민들에게 지능을 넘어 지혜를 추구하도록 하는 새로운 도시모델로 해석할 수 있다. 하지만 스마트시티는 그 자체에 공동체의 발전을 도모하는 요인과 저해하는 요인을 동시에 가지고 있기 때문에 공동체 발전을 촉진하기 위한 보완대책이 필요하다. 이 논문은 스마트시티로 인한 공동체의 변화방향을 공동체의 역할과 공동체의 역량을 두 축으로 하여 네 가지 유형으로 분석하였다. 그리고 사람중심의 스마트시티가 되기 위해서는 도시와 공동체가 균형되게 발전해야 한다는 점을 강조하였다. 특히 스마트시티가 지향해야 할 공동체는 ‘지능 공동체’를 넘어 ‘지혜 공동체’가 되어야 하며 이를 위해 불교가 선도적 역할을 해야 할 것 을 강조한다.
Abstract
This paper analyzes the direction of community change due to smart city into four types based on the role of community and the capacity of community. And it focuses on the need for the balanced development of cities and communities in order to become a people-centric smart city. The development of community in Smart City is expected to be achieved by sharing intelligence and strengthening psychological communication. In this respect, Buddhism can play a leading role for community development by supporting the development of people’s minds.
