히스테리에 관한 치유상담적 고찰 -정신분석 및 기독교상담적 관점-

히스테리는 매우 익숙한 용어임에도 불구하고, 히스테리에 대한 치유적인 차원에서 구체적인 연구는 극히 제한적이라 볼 수 있다. 본 논문은 히스테리에 관한 치유상담학적 고찰로서 정신분석 및 기독교상담적 측면에서 연구하였다. 히스테리의 임상적 이해를 위하여 히스테리를 구성하는 본질적 요소와 증후, 히스테리와 신경증과의 관계, 히스테리와 성격장애와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 또한 히스테리 환자의 심리적 메커니즘의 이해를 위해 히스테리의 원인과 히스테리에 관한 치료적 측면을 정신분석적 접근을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그 후 히스테리에 대한 정신분석적 고찰이 기독교치유상담적 측면의 영역에서 어떠한 적용점을 시사해 줄 수 있을지 연구하였다. 히스테리 증상의 심리적 원인과 영적 원인으로서의 통합적 성찰을 제시하였다. 특히 히스테리의 기독교치유상담적 측면을 묘사하면서 히스테리가 종교적인 욕망에 어떻게 긍정적인 역할을 할 수 있을지도 제안하였다. 히스테리의 기독교적 치유를 위하여 욕망의 무의식적 억압에서 하나님을 향한 욕망으로서의 전환이 필요함을 지적하였다. 또한 연구자는 본 연구를 마무리 하면서 히스테리 환자를 위한 기독교치유상담자의 실제적이며 실천적인 과제를 제시하였다.
Abstract
Though the term “hysteria” is widely used in reality, research on hysteria from a counseling perspective has not been thoroughly studied in Korean academia. This paper will reflect on hysteria from the perspectives of psychoanalysis and Christian counseling. To perceive a clinical understanding of hysteria, the authors explore its essential nature and symptoms, and its relationship with both neurosis and personality disorders. The authors also focus on therapeutic aspects by taking a psychoanalytical approach to it in order to grasp a hysteriac's psychological mechanism. In this paper, the authors attempt to suggest how this psychoanalytical reflection on hysteria can benefit the realm of Christian counseling in terms of its practicality and theological inquiry. This paper will especially show how hysteria can play a positive role in regard to one's religious desire as it illustrates the aspects of Christian counseling. In so doing, the authors indicate that the desire's unconscious repression should be shifted to the desire toward God in order for healing to occur in a Christian way. The authors also provide Christian counselors with realizable and pragmatic tasks for those who suffer from hysteria.
