부모와의 의사소통 도구로써 이메일 사용에 대한 보육교사의 인식 및 현황

본 연구는 보육시설에서 부모와의 의사소통 도구로써 이메일 사용에 대한 현황과 보육교사의 인식을 알아보고, 보육교사들이 부모와의 의사소통 도구로써 이메일을 보다 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해서 현직 보육교사 285명을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며 그 결과를 종합해서 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사들은 이메일을 의사소통의 편리한 수단으로 생각하고 있으나 실제로 보육교사들은 부모와의 의사소통 도구로써 이메일을 많이 활용하고 있지 않았다. 둘째, 이메일에 포함되어지는 의사소통의 내용으로는 학급 및 교육 정보제공 등에는 동의하지만 영유아의 교육 및 발달 상담 등의 문제에 대해서는 동의하지 않은 비율이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 보육교사의 개인적 특성인 근무시설 유형, 연령, 경력, 담당유아연령에 따라 이메일 사용의 인식의 차를 살펴보면, 특히 이메일의 내용과 관련된 문항에서는 집단 간의 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 효과적으로 이메일을 부모와의 의사소통 도구로써 사용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 교사가 이메일 사용 시 다룰 수 있는 내용 선정에 대한 협의, 이메일 사용으로 인한 교사의 업무과다를 방지하기 위한 행정적인 지원, 이메일 사용에 대한 교육 등의 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to survey daycare teachers’ perception of email communication with parents and to suggest effective ways to facilitate it in daycare centers. Total 285 daycare teachers participated in the questionnaires, revealing that they regard e-mail as a convenient communication method with parents, however only 64 teachers have used e-mail for that purpose. This limited use results from their perception that beyond class or educational information serious information such as developmental problem can not be communicated readily by e-mail. Significant difference in the perception of email communication was observed according to teachers’ background such as teaching experience, their age and affiliation, children age, etc. Based on these results, it was concluded that teachers, parents and daycare center should lay down guideline on email contents for teachers to facilitate email communication with parents in daycare center. Since email communization may require additional work, daycare centers provide compensations such as more helpers and worktime reduce. In addition, consulting skills by email should be systematically educated to teachers.
