부모의 양육태도 유형과 일치유형 및 일치 여부에 따른 유아의 사회적 능력 비교

본 연구는 부모의 양육태도 유형과 양육태도의 일치유형 및 여부에 따른 유아의 사회적 능력과의 관계를 알아보는 데 있다. 연구대상은 경기도에 위치한 유치원과 어린이집의 3～5세 유아 251명과 그들의 양 부모였으며, 연구도구는 부모양육태도 질문지와 유아의 사회적 능력 검사가 사용되었다. 분석을 위해 양육태도 점수는 백분위 점수로 환산한 후, 두 차원 상위 50% 기준으로 네 집단(애정-자율 집단, 애정- 통제집단, 거부-자율집단, 거부-통제 집단)으로 구분되었고, 양육태도 유형에 따른 집단을 독립변인, 유아의 사회적 능력을 종속변인으로 하여 다변량 분석(MANOVA)을 실시한 후, Scheffé 사후다중비교검증을 하였다. 연구결과 어머니와 아버지의 양육태도 유형에 따라 유아의 사회적 능력에는 차이가 있는 것 으로 밝혀졌다. 즉, 애정-자율집단 부모의 유아가 나머지 세 집단(애정-통제집단, 거부-자율집단, 거부-통제 집단) 부모의 유아보다 사회적 능력이 높았고, 애정-통제집단과 거부-자율집단 부모의 유아 간에는 차이가 없었으며, 거부-통제 집단 부모의 유아는 사회적 능력이 가장 낮았다. 일치도에 관한 결과를 보면, 애정-자율 일치집단 부모의 유아가 나머지 네 집단(애정-통제일치, 거부-자율일치, 거부-통제일치, 불일치) 부모의 유아보다 사회적 능력이 높았으며, 나머지 일치집단 부모의 유아는 불일치 집단 부모의 유아와 차이가 없었으며, 거부-통제 일치집단 부모의 유아는 불일치 집단 부모의 유아보다 사회적 능력이 낮은 것으로 확인되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of parental rearing attitude and rearing attitude consistency between parents to young children's social competence and present a good model of parental rearing attitude for young children's social competence. To achieve the purpose the following hypotheses were generated from the review of the literature:Parental attitudes would greatly effect young children's social competence. The subjects of the study were 358 young children and their mothers and fathers in Kyeunggi-Do, Korea. This study carried out from September to October, and 251 questionnaires were analyzed. The data were analyzed in MANOVA using SPSS/PC+. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, there were significant difference statical differences in young children's social competence according to here were significant difference statical differences in young children's social competence according to mother's and father's rearing attitude types among the affection-autonomy pattern, affection-control pattern, antagonism-autonomy pattern, antagonism-control pattern respectively. Second, there were significant difference statical differences in young children's social competence relative to parent rearing attitude consistency between parents types among of the affection-autonomy consistency pattern, affection-control consistency pattern, antagonism-autonomy consistency pattern, antagonism -control consistency pattern and inconsistency pattern respectively. The results of this study indicate that parental rearing attitudes and rearing attitude consistency between parents effect young children's social competence, As well, by isolating which parental rearing attitudes, held and demonstrated consistently by both parents, most positively affected social competence, the study is able to parent a model of sound parental rearing attitudes for developing young children's social competence.
