초록
The purpose of this study is to investigate how advanced learners of Korean exploit cultural concepts in their writings. After giving an overview of recent approaches to such cultural aspects as learner's identity, hybridity and universality this study examines the cultural features of advanced learners of the Korean language. Based on the qualitative discourse analysis of written samples of advanced learners, and their needs analysis for cultural proficiency, a categorization of Korean culture is suggested, and continuously a corresponding teaching sample and a syllabus are proposed. The findings hold important implications for Korean writing pedagogy and cultural-salient pedagogy for improvement of overall linguistic and cultural proficiency.
