이 연구는 성인 진로교육을 실천하기 위한 방향성을 제시하기 위해서 성인 진로교육 목표 및 내용체계를 개발하는 데 목적이 있었다. 이에 성인 진로교육의 개념 및 관련 이론, 성인 진로교육 목표 및 내용체계 선행연구를 분석하고 성인 진로교육 목표 및 내용체계 초안을 개발하여 성인 진로교육 전문가 12인을 패널을 대상으로 두 차례 수정된 델파이 기법을 통해 타당화하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인 진로교육 목표는 ‘성인이 다양한 삶의 맥락에서 자신과 직업세계에 관한 이해를 바탕으로 진로를 탐색하고, 자신의 진로를 설계, 준비 및 관리하여 진로를 개발·유지·전환할 수 있는 역량을 함양한다.’로 도출되었다. 둘째, 성인 진로교육 내용체계는 ‘자신과 직업세계에 대한 이해’, ‘진로탐색’, ‘진로설계와 준비’, ‘진로관리’ 4가지 영역으로 구분하고 각각의 영역에 해당하는 목표와 내용을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 국가 차원에서 성인 진로교육 가이드라인을 개발하고, 우리나라 성인 진로교육의 지향점 마련, 성인 진로개발에 중요한 영역 및 학습요소 도출 등에 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide direction for the practical implementation of adult career education by developing goals and a content framework for adult career education. To achieve this, the study analyzes the concept and relevant theories of adult career education, reviews previous studies on the goals and content framework of adult career education, and develops a draft of goals and content framework for adult career education. The validity of these drafts is then confirmed through two rounds of Modified Delphi method with a panel of 12 adult career education experts. The key findings of the study are as follows. The primary objectives of adult career education are as follows: "Adults cultivate the ability to explore, design, prepare, and manage their careers based on understanding themselves and the world of work in various life contexts, enabling them to develop, maintain, and transition their careers." Second, adult career education's content framework is structured around four key domains: 'Understanding oneself and the world of work,' 'Career exploration,' 'Career design and preparation,' and 'Career management.' Detailed objectives and substance are assigned to each domain. These research findings are significant in that they can serve as foundational data for the development of national guidelines for adult career education, establishing the direction of adult career education in our country, and deriving important areas and learning elements for adult career development.
