본 연구는 초등미술교육에서 공공미술을 주제로 한 팀티칭 사례를 고찰한 것이다. 연구의 목적은 미술교육전문가, 미술가, 학급교사의 팀티칭 수업을 통해 초등미술교육의 전문성을 높이고 각 분야 전문가들을 연계한 파트너십의 필요성과 실천 가능성을 보여주고자 한다. 이 수업은 생활 주변의 사물을 확대·변형하는 방법을 활용하여 학생들이 직접 만지고 놀 수 있는 공공미술을 구상해보고, 이를 드로잉과 교내 벽화로 표현하는데 그 초점이 있다. 학생들의 작품과 면담 내용을 기초로 팀티칭 수업의 성과를 고찰해보고 미술교육에서 팀티칭이 갖는 교육적 의의가 무엇인지 제시하고자 한다.
Abstract
This is a case study of team teaching about public art in elementary art education. The objective of this study is to elevate the professionalism of art education through team teaching of an art educator, an artist, and a classroom teacher, and to show the potential practicality of a closely linked partnership among the three groups. The case we executed and analyzed is composed of art lessons in which students extend and modify everyday objects to formulate their own public art which they could actually touch and play with. The study focuses on students' deeper understanding about public art through making murals in the school hallways. Through the analysis of the students’ works and based on personal interviews and classroom observations, the study presents the educational significance of team teaching and actual ways of practice.
