Abstract

The Effects of Participatory Forms on Childrens Literature Abilityand Attitude in Web-Based Childrens Literature ActivityLee, Sung-Eun and Heo, Seon-YeongEwha Womans University, Seoul Woosin Elementary SchoolThe purpose of this study was to develop a Web-based children’s literature activityprogram and investigate its effects of participatory forms on improvement of children’sliterature ability and attitudes toward literature. For this purpose, 47 elementary students at sixthgrade were selected. Introducing ways of self-directed learning and cooperative learning, Web-based children’s literature activity programs were developed and applied. The program and thetest instruments were designed and developed by educational professionals. In addition, theprogram was developed and the registration of the participants was conducted by the readingeducation company.The results showed that the self-directed learning showed the significant results inchildren’s literature ability of the evaluation and the creativity and that cooperative learningshowed the significant results in literature ability of the acceptance.
