본 논문은 학습자의 사고변화를 이끌 수 있는 발문의 역할에 대한 연구이다. 먼저 발문의 의미와 유형에 대해서 고찰하고, 이러한 발문이 어떻게 사고변화의 한 방법으로 활용되어 질 수 있는지를 고찰 해보았다. 이를 위하여 플라톤의 선분의 비유에서 나타난 인식론을 바탕으로 사고 수준을 세 단계, 즉 저 차원적인 사고수준(추측의 인식), 중간 차원의 사고수준(확신의 인식) 그리고 고차원적인 사고수준(추론적 사고의 인식)으로 나누고 각 단계의 특성을 제시하였다. 그리고 이러한 추측의 인식상태에서 확신의 인식상태로, 또한 확신의 인식상태에서 추론적 사고 수준으로 변화 시킬 수 있는 발문 적용 가능성에 대해 논의하였다. 발문을 통한 사고의 변화는 개인적인 허상의 삶에서 사실적 현상을 바로 볼 수 있게 하고 더 나아가 타자를 진정으로 이해할 수 있게 하며, 진정한 관계 속에서 행복한 삶을 살아가게 하는 전환점의 시초가 될 것이다. 마지막으로 이러한 발문을 활용하여 사고변화를 이끄는 교육자가 갖추어야 할 역량에 대해 제언하였다.
Abstract
This paper investigates the role of questioning which can lead to changes of the learner's thinking. First, we discuss the meaning and type of questioning and examine how such questioning can be utilized as a way of thought changing questioning. To this end, based on the parable of the segment shown in Plato's epistemology we propose three levels of thinking: low-level thinking (imagining state) intermediate-level thinking (beliefs state) and high-level thinking (inferential thinking). Furthermore, we discuss the possibility of applying the questioning that can change from the level of imagining to the level of beliefs state and from this level to the level of inferential thinking. This change in thinking through questioning will be a turning point to promote the ability to have a true relationship and live a happy life. Finally, we consider the competence of educator who carries out the change of thought by taking advantage of such questioning.
