본고는 교사교육을 위한 교육철학의 가치와 역할을 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 연구 목적을 위해 Ⅱ장에서는 교사교육 분야에서 최근 이루어지고 있는 논의들을 살펴볼 것이다. 최근 교사교육은 전문가로서의 교사, 이론을 적용하는 자에 국한하는 것이 아닌 반성적 실천가가 될 것이 중시되며, 실천적 지식에 대한 요구가 높게 나타나고 있다. 그런데 이러한 담론의 강조에도 불구하고 교사는 점점 수업기술자로 국한되고, 반성적 실천가의 ‘반성’개념 역시 도구화되는 등 담론이 목적하는 바에 역행하는 역설이 일어나는 것을 논의할 것이다. Ⅲ장에서는 교사교육과 교육철학을 관련지어 교직 과목으로서 교육철학의 역할, 교직과목으로서 교육철학에 대한 요구를 살펴볼 것이다. Ⅳ장에서는 이론과 실천 모두에 걸쳐있는 매개자로서 교육철학의 역할, 교양을 갖춘 교양인으로서 교사, 이를 위한 교육철학의 교양적 가치 재인식에 관해 논의할 것이다. 교양을 갖춘 전문가로서 교사 양성을 위해 교육철학이 갖는 교양적 가치를 재인식하고 교육철학을 통해 교양적 학습이 되게 함으로써, 도구화되고 기술공학적으로만 교사전문성을 접근하는 교사교육에서 교육철학이 그 역할을 하자는 것이다.
Abstract
The concerns of this paper start with what the contents of philosophy of education are and how to teach philosophy of education to students as a teacher education. To examine this problems, this study will examine the latest arguments about teacher education in Ch.Ⅱ. The latest discourses about teacher education emphasize not just a person who applies a theory to educational arena but an expert and reflective practitioner. Furthermore, practical knowledge is needed highly. I will explore a trendy discourse of the theme, followed by a paradox that is retrodirective to the slogan for the discourses. In Ch.Ⅲ this study look into the role and need of philosophy of education as a teacher education. I will explore the role of philosophy of education which is a broker or a middleman connected to both theory and practice of education. Also having a new understanding of liberal values of philosophy of education, a teacher as a cultivated person and finding an actuality fitting of it will be discussed.
