초록

본 연구는 아동용 우울 및 자살 개입 프로그램을 개발하고, 이 프로그램이 우울한 아동의 우울 및 자살수준 감소에 미치는 효과를 검증해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 목적을 위하여 대구소재 00 초등학교 4, 5, 6 학년생 576명을 대상으로 CDI, BHS, SIQ 척도를 사용하여 우울과 자살 정도가 심한 고위험군 학생 32명을 선발하고, 그 중 집단상담 프로그램에 참여의사를 밝힌 학생들 중에서 피험자들을 24명을 선발하여, 실험집단과 통제집단으로 각각 12명씩 무작위 선정하였다. 선정된 12명의 실험집단 아동에게 매회 60분씩 10회기에 걸쳐 본 연구자가 개발한 우울 및 자살 개입 프로그램을 실시하였다. 자료분석은 각 집단별로 사전-사후-추후검사를 분류해서 채점한 후 평균과 표준편차를 산출하여 비교하였으며, 각 집단의 사후검사와 사전검사의 차이, 그리고 추후검사와 사전검사의 차이에 대해서 각각 독립표본 t-검증을 실시하였다 연구결과 본 연구에서 개발한 우울 및 자살 개입 프로그램은 우울 및 자살아동의 우울과 자살생각 수준을 감소시키고 무망감을 저하시키는데 효과적이었으며, 자신의 자살과 우울에 대한 부정적인 정서를 인식하고 통찰하여 자살과 우울을 극복하도록 도움을 주는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

This study was designed to test the effects of a depression and suicide intervention program for elementary students who have depression and suicide thought. To find out students who is highly depressed and suicidal, we used such instruments as Children's Depression Inventory(CDI), Beck Hopelessness Scale(BHS), Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire(SIQ). This study was undertaken for the subjects of 576 students of a elementary school located in Daegu. Among the participants with high depression and suicidal ideation, 32 students were selected and 24 students who wanted to participate in this program were divided at random into the treatment group and control group. The research design was the pretest, posttest, follow-up test control group design. The experimental group children participated in a depression and suicide intervention program of 10 sessions for 4 weeks at the elementary school in Daegu. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and was verified a independent t-Test between the treatment group and the control group observing differences between pre and post, pro and follow-up tests. This depression and suicide intervention program included 4 steps for building relationship, psychological investigation, insight &, coping skill process, and closing remarks. Results show that the depression and suicide intervention program was effective in reducing depression(mental symptom), suicidal ideation, and hopelessness. Finally, we discussed the limitations and the suggestions of this study.
