Abstract
This study attempts to compare the persuasive effect of narrative and visual images in CSR messages. Results suggest that narrative CSR messages, compared with non-narrative messages, increased message transportation, positive attitudes toward the message and thecorporation. On the other hand, the use of visual images did not have aneffect on message transportation or attitudes toward the message or the corporation. This study has important implications for CSR practitionersfor designing effective messages.
