유아용 발달 선별도구 (DIAL-3)의 한국형 표준화 연구

초록

본 연구의 논문은 그 동안 미국에서 발달지체 및 장애의 가능성이 있는 3-6세 유아의 선별에 많이 사용되고 있는, 여러 발달영역을 다차원적으로 사정해줄 수 있는 DIAL-3의 국내 표준화 연구 결과를 제시한 것이다. 최종적으로는 전국에서 표집된 1,484명의 유아들을 대상으로 타당도와 신뢰도가 높은 도구의 개발에 중점을 두고 연구가 이루어졌다. 1차 및 2차, 최종 표준화 연구에서 내용타당도 및 연령집단별 문항 통과율, 검사영역간 상관도를 통해 알아본 도구의 타당도 및 검사-재검사 신뢰도, 내적 일치 신뢰도, 측정의 표준오차를 통해 알아본 신뢰도 검증 결과, 본 연구를 통해 개발된 한국판 DIAL-3는 비교적 신뢰도와 타당도에 있어 만족한 만한 선별도구로 나타났다. 한국판 DIAL-3는 우리의 다양한 학문분야의 전문가들이 사용하기에 이해가 쉽고 검사의 실시가 간편한 문항으로 구성되어 있어 발달지체 및 장애위험의 가능성이 있는 유아들을 선별해 줄 수 있는, 유아특수교육 대상 유아의 조기발견에 효율적으로 사용될 수 있는 도구가 될 것이라는 점에서 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

Abstract

This paper describes the standardization of the Korea Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning-Third Edition (K-DIAL-3), an instrument designed to screen children ages 3 three to 6 who have potential developmental delays. Background information is offered on the K-DIAL-3 characteristics (including its validity and reliability and procedures for developing national norms) and components (motor, cognition, language, self-help, social, and psychosocial). Initial construction and field testing procedures are described, as are standardization procedures and data. Administration and interpretation information is illustrated. Procedures of standard scores development and interpretation of the scores are described. Explorations of within-scale relationships yielded evidence of content validity as well as construct validity. The results of test-retest reliability and standard error of measurement demonstrates strong stability. It is expected that the K-DIAL-3 can contribute to solve some of the problems related in early identification of young children with developmental delays or disabilities in Korea.
