》본 연구는 발달지체유아의 자기결정훈련의 당위성과 자기결정능력의 발전을 위한 수업적 접근을 밝히고자 하였다. 자기결정능력은 자신이 원하는 삶을 살아갈 수 있게 하는 기본적 능력이다. 이 능력을 발휘하기 위해서는 가능한 어릴 때부터 기회와 경험이 조직적으로 제공되어야 한다. 발달지체유아의 특성에 맞는 다양한 자기결정능력 개발을 위한 전략이 필요하며, 그 교육내용이 적절히 선정되어야 한다. 특히 자기결정능력의 기본적 요소인 선택과 의사결정능력, 문제설정과 해결능력, 자기평가와 효율적 기대, 메타표현, 자기지식과 이해 등의 요소를 우선적으로 발전시켜야 한다. 이를 위해 발달지체유아 각각의 개별화교육계획을 통해 체계적인 목표설정을 해야하며 이에 적절한 수업적 접근이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 발달지체유아의 자기결정훈련의 당위성을 강조하면서, 발달지체유아 자기결정능력 발전을 위한 수업전략을 탐색해 보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the necessary and instructional approach in developmental disability young children's self-determination. The concrete purposes are followed. (1) necessity in developmental disability young children's self-determination instruction. (2) instructional approaches to develop the self-determination's ability of developmental disability young children. The results are as follows. First, self-determination ability of developmental disability young children is essential educational elements to achieve successful adults outcome. Therefore, it is need to provide both skill training and opportunity for the exercise of self-determination to developmental disability young children at as early an age as possible. Second, IEP's strategies for self-determination ability are teaching within the context of daily routines, incidental teaching, communication technology, and activity instruction. And teachers are to introduce appropriate instructional strategies for developmental disability young children. Choice is essential element of self-determination ability. Therefore, teachers are to give opportunities for developmental disability young children to develop choice ability. And special educators for developmental disability young children need to consider more seriously and intensively whether or not they are providing adequate attention to the development of choice element that appear to be building blocks for the foundation of self-determination.
