화성시 장애아동 부모의 양육 스트레스 정도 및 부모교육 실태조사

본 연구는 경기도 화성시 거주 만 18세 이하 장애아동의 가족을 대상으로 주양육자 634명을 통한 양육스트레스와 부모교육에 대한 실태 조사로서, 장애아동 부모들의 양육스트레스 해소와 바람직한 부모교육 프로그램 구안을 위한 기초정보를 확보하고자 실시되었다. 장애자녀양육에 따른 스트레스 정도는 2.39로 다소 높은 편이며, 사회적 지지도는 2.28로 평균에 못 미치도록 낮은 편으로 나타났다. 장애아동에 대한 부모교육 경험의 유무를 알아본 결과, 634명의 응답자 중 장애아동과 관련된 부모교육을 받은 적이 있는 사람이 33.4%, 받은 적이 없는 사람이 61.4%로 나타나 교육 부재 현실의 심각성이 드러났으며, 가장 많이 희망하는 부모교육 주제로는 가정에서의 문제행동 중재 그리고 재활치료에 대한 정보 등으로 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 한 지역사회 중심의 장애아동 가족 지원을 향상 방안을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study carried out a survey targeting 634 primary caregivers of children with disabilities whose age under 18 in Hwasung city. The current study includes two areas; the nurturing stress & social supports as well as the status of parent education. The main purpose of the current study was to investigate those two areas and obtain information for providing community services for families of children with disabilities. The finding revealed that the primary caregivers have relatively high stress coming from nurturing children with disabilities. In addition, social supports they get were lower than the mean value. Moreover, only 33.4% of all were able to get chances of parent education. Among the themes of education they want for nurturing their children, the theme about behavioral intervention was the top. Finally, the suggestions for supporting families of children with disabilities in the community were discussed.
