장애아동 가족의 가족지원 요구도 및 사회적 지지

본 연구에서는 장애아동 가족의 가족중심 지원서비스 요구와 사회적 지지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 U지역 8개 장애아전담 보육시설, 복지관 및 장애인부모회에 등록된 18세 이하의 장애아동 부모 271명이었다. 수집된 자료는 연구목적에 따라 빈도와 백분율, 피어슨 상관관계, t검증, F검증을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 장애아동 가족은 장애아동 양육에 대한 정보요구가 가장 높았으며, 특히 아동이 장래에 받을 수 있는 서비스에 대한 정보와 아동의 교육방법에 대한 정보, 현재 받을 수 있는 서비스에 대한 정보 순으로 나타났다. 이에 비해 가족의 현재 비공식적 및 공식적 지지는 모두 평균이하로 낮았으며, 특히 비공식적 지지 보다 공식적 지지가 더 낮았다. 이와 같은 결과는 장애아동 가족의 가족지원 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 다양한 공식적 및 비공식적 사회적 지지 체계를 확립하고 강화해야 함을 시사한다. 또한 이러한 지지 체계는 장애아동 가족에게 직접 서비스를 제공하는 것보다 가족 스스로 자신의 강점을 확인하고 자신의 요구에 맞는 서비스를 적극적으로 찾을 수 있도록 지원하는 프로그램이 제공되어야 한다. 즉, 장애아동 양육과 교육에 대한 체계적인 정보뿐만 아니라 가족의 적으로 참여 프로그램이 필요하며, 아울러 장애아동 가족이 가까운 지역사회 내에서 이용할 수 있는 재활서비스 치료 및 교육기관 등이 확대되어야 할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs of family support and the level of social support in parents of children with disabilities. Data was collected by questionnaires from 271 families whose child attended in the registered institutions for early education and the association of disabled parents located in Ulsan. The research instruments utilized in this study were Family Needs Survey(assistance for information, assistance for support needs, assistance for explaining to others, assistance for community service, assistance for finance, and assistance for family functioning) and Family Support Scale(informal support, formal support). The results indicated that the support families want the most consists of assistance for information, assistance for community service and assistance for finance. The levels of social support were very low, which include informal and formal support. The needs of family support across family factors were statistically difference in caregiver's age, perceived health state, caring time, month income, child's disable type and severity of disability. The results suggest that it is necessary to support an intervention program that emphasizes participating with families and to develop comprehensive education programs which include the needs of family support.
