본 연구의 목적은 말더듬 성인을 대상으로 심한정도에 따라 구어속도를 전체속도와 조음속도로 측정하여 유의한 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 말더듬 성인 40명(22:10 ~ 54:7)을 대상으로 SSI-3의 심한정도에 따라 심한 집단(14명)과 중간 집단(11명)과 약한 집단(15명)으로 나누고 읽기과제를 통하여 전체속도와 조음속도를 분석하였다. 첫째 말더듬 성인의 세 집단 사이의 전체속도에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 이는 말더듬이 심한 집단일수록 다른 집단보다 전체속도가 낮게 산출되었다. 둘째, 말더듬 성인의 세 집단 간의 조음속도에 유의한 차이가 있었고 말더듬이 심한 집단의 조음속도가 가장 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 말더듬 성인 집단 별 전체속도와 조음속도에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 조음속도는 모든 집단에서 전체속도보다 높게 산출되었다. 이는 말더듬이 심할수록 말더듬 행동의 지속시간과 빈도가 높기 때문에 구어속도가 낮게 산출되고 명료한 구어산출을 위해 보다 긴 발화시간이 필요함을 알 수 있었고, 본 연구 결과는 추후 말더듬의 진단과 치료 시 객관적인 평가와 유창성 증진을 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine, targetting the adult stutterer and according to the severe degree, whether there is the difference between the overall speech rate and the articulation rate or not. For this purpose, 40 adult stutterers(22:10 ~ 54:7) were selected and they were divided by severe group, moderate group and mild group according to severe degree of SSI-3 and analyzed the overall speech rate and the articulation rate through the reading task. The results were as follows. First, there was the difference in the overall speech rate among 3groups of the adult stutterer and showed the more severe group, the lower overall speech produced than other groups. Second, there was the difference in the articulation rate among 3groups of the adult stutterer and showed the articulation rate of the severe stutter group was lowest. Third, there was the difference in the overall speech rate and the articulation rate among groups of the adult stutterer and showed the higher articulation rate was produced than the overall speech rate in all of the groups. The above results showed the more severe stutter, the lower speech rate was produced because the persistent time and the frequency of the stutter activity are high and for the clear speech production, the longer speech time was needed, and this study results can be used to fundamental data for the objective evaluation and fluency improvement in afterwards the diagnosis and therapy of stutter.
