본 연구는 아동상담 방법 중 하나인 치료놀이를 중심으로 아동상담에서의 아동변화과정과 그 변화요인을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 상담에서의 아동의 변화라는 구체적 상호작용을 드러내기 위해서 본 연구자는 현상학에 입각한 질적 연구를 방법론적 지표로 삼았다. 그 결과 치료자를 처음 만난 시기에 아동은 여태껏 형성해 온 기존의 방식대로 치료자와 상호작용하려는 ‘하던 대로 하려’ 자신의 상호작용을 고수했다. 그러다가 점차 아동은 치료자와의 상호작용에 대해 지금까지 지속되었던 방식과는 ‘다른 것을 느끼기’ 시작했다. 그것은 아동을 ‘혼란스럽게’ 만들었고 점점 달라지는 자신과 타인을 ‘확인’하기 위해서 상호작용 상황 속에서 치료자에게 지속적으로 시험하고 저항하는 모습을 보였다. 그러는 과정 동안 아동은 결과를 ‘수용’하고 ‘인정’하게 되었고 자신과 타인에 대한 이미지들을 ‘확립’해 나가게 되었다. 거기에는 대상의 재경험, 어머니라는 환경의 변화, 그리고 공감적 상호작용이라는 변화의 요인들이 큰 몫을 담당하였다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study are to search for child's change process and factors in Theraplay. This study tried to bring out the concrete process of interaction by means of qualitative methods which is based on phenomenology, a concrete understanding of changes in interaction is very useful for children. The period of experience for Theraplay interaction with children in the two places was from July 2005 to January 2007. The followings are the results of this study. Furthermore, I found the common interaction aspects in the change process of children. They had changed from "doing what he has done" to "feeling differently", "being confused", "requiring confirmation", and "starting establishment of self images and other's images." The factors of change were "re-experiencing of objection", "change of environment", "empathic interaction." Especially, the children had been changed knowing together meanings of "touch" with a therapist, which had been done by therapist across the whole process of therapy. To tell the truth, it was a process of therapy. These were also connected that change process was "position tendency", change factors were linked each other, so they have influenced on each other's change.
