본 연구의 목적은 불연속 개별시도 훈련(Discrete Trial Training: DTT)을 적용한 그림카드변별과 명명학습이 자폐성 유아의 그림어휘 이해력과 표현 어휘력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구에 참여한 자폐성 유아는 3명이며, 연구대상 선정 시 사용한 검사도구는 아동기 자폐증 평정척도(CARS)와 심리교육 프로파일(PEP-R)이다. 본 연구의 중재 프로그램은 자폐성 아동의 언어지도를 위한 직접교수 접근인 불연속 개별시도 훈련(DTT)을 적용한 그림카드 변별학습과 명명학습이다. 불연속 개별시도 훈련 은 변별자극제시→반응→후속결과(강화)제공→시도 간 간격→ 변별자극제시→반응 →후속결과(강화)제공→시도 간 간격 등의 과정을 신속하고 역동적으로 반복 수행하는 것이다. 본 연구의 실험설계는 대상자간 중다기초선 설계를 사용했으며, 자료 수집은 기초선-중재-유지검사 시 유아의 반응 수준을 기록하는 방법과 비디오 촬영하는 방법을 적용하였다. 자료 분석은 기초선 측정부터 유지검사까지 그림카드 변별과 명명에 대한 각 회기별 수행율과 습득한 어휘수를 통해 이루어졌다. 본 연구결과 불연속 개별시도 훈련을 적용한 변별학습과 명명학습은 자폐유아 3명 모두의 그림어휘 이해력과 표현 어휘력을 증진시켰다. 특히 불연속 개별시도 적용 시 새로운 카드의 변별 및 명명을 유도하기 위한 집중시도는 자폐유아의 초기 음 산출을 촉진시켰다. 본 연구결과에 근거한 결론은 불연속 개별시도 훈련을 적용한 변별학습과 명명학습이 자폐유아의 언어지도에 유용한 프로그램이라고 여겨진다. 본 연구에 대한 제한점인 자폐유아의 그림어휘 이해력과 표현 어휘력의 일반화를 촉진하기 위한 미래연구는 불연속 개별시도 훈련과 같은 교사주도 언어지도 프로그램과 아동주도 언어지도 프로그램을 접목하여 적용할 필요가 있다. 이와 같은 후속연구가 이루어진다면 자폐유아의 초기 음 산출의 촉진과 더불어 학습된 어휘의 일반화 및 화용론적 의사소통을 촉진하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find the effects of learning to discriminate and name picture cards using DTT on the comprehension and expressive ability of autistic children. The subjects of this study are 3 Autistic children. Multiple baseline across subjects design is used for the design of experiment. For data collection, recording and video taping of children's responses are used. For the data analysis, rate of performance and number of vocabulary acquired for picture card discrimination and naming at baseline, intervention and maintenance test are analyzed by session This study found that learning to discriminate and name picture cards using DDT improved the three autistic children's comprehension and expressive ability. Based on the findings of this study, it can be said that learning to discriminate and name picture cards using DDT are helpful for the teaching of language to autistic children. To generalize the findings, further studies that linked DDT to child initiated language learning program are needed.
