본 연구는 점토놀이 미술활동이 ADHD 아동의 문제행동에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이을 위하여 초등학교 일반학급에 재학중인 ADHD아동 3명을 대상으로 점토놀이 미술활동 프로그램의 중재를 부주의, 충동성 행동 감소에 중점을 두고 실시하였다. 그리고 각 대상 아동별로 기초선, 중재, 유지 기간동안 문제행동 빈도를 관찰하여 회기별 관찰과 질적 분석을 통하여 행동변화를 비교 분석하였다. 점토놀이 미술활동을 적용하고 비교 분석하여 도출한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 점토놀이 미술활동은 ADHD 아동의 부주의 행동을 감소시키는데 효과적이다. 대상 아동 3명 모두 흥미와 호기심을 가지고 적극적으로 참여함으로써 부주의 행동이 감소되었다. 둘째, 점토놀이 미술활동은 ADHD 아동의 충동성 행동을 감소시키는데 효과적이다. 대상 아동들의 흥미와 성취욕이 높아지면서 집중력이 길러져 충동성 행동이 감소되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 점토놀이 미술활동이 ADHD 아동의 부주의 행동과 충동성 행동을 감소시킬 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of clay art activities on the behavior of the children with ADHD. The subjects in this study were three children with ADHD who were enrolled an elementary school regular class. A clay-art program was conducted to provide intervention for them to behave in a less careless, impulsive and aggressive manner. Each child's problem behavior frequency was observed during the baseline, intervention and retention periods, and whether they underwent any changes was compared by keeping an eye on them in every session and making a qualitative analysis. After the clay-art program and comparative analysis were carried out, the following findings were given:First, the clay-art activities were effectives at decreasing the inattention behavior of the children with ADHD. All the three children participated in the program with interest and out of curiosity, they got to behave in a less careless way. Second, the clay-art activities were effectives at decreasing the impulsive behavior of the children with ADHD. They showed growing interest in the program and felt they did something great. That experience served to fortify their attention, and they got to behave in a less impulsive manner. These results indicates that the clay-art activities are effectives on decreasing the inattention behavior and impulsive behavior of the children with ADHD.
