자폐 학생 언어 중재에 대한 부모 참여의 체계적 문헌분석

본 체계적 문헌분석은 학령기 자폐 학생의 언어 중재에서 부모 참여의 효과를 종합적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 총 8편의 연구가 분석 대상 논문으로 선정되었으며, 대부분 다양한 연령대의 자폐 학생을 대상으로 중재를 시행하였고, 그중 9세 이하의 아동을 대상으로 한 연구가 많았다. 무발화 자폐 학생을 포함한 연구는 단 1편뿐이었다. 언어 중재임에도 불구하고 학생과 부모의 주요 언어 사용 정보를 수집하여 보고한 연구는 3편에 불과하였고, 중재 실행에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 사회경제적 지위에 대한 정보는 단 1편에서만 보고되었다. 대부분의 연구가 병원이나 연구기관에서 수행되었고, 부모가 주요 중재자로 참여한 연구는 없었다. 사회적 의사소통 능력 향상을 목표로 한 중재 연구가 많았고, 부모 교육 전략으로는 피드백과 연습 전략이 가장 많이 활용되었다. 본 연구는 언어 중재에서 부모 참여가 자폐 학생에게 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결과를 종합적으로 보고하였다. 그러나 초등학교 이후 시기의 학생들이 가진 고유한 특성이 중재에 영향을 미칠 수 있기에, 보다 폭넓은 연령대를 포함한 추가 연구가 필요함을 시사하였다. 이외에도 본 문헌분석 결과를 바탕으로 자폐 학생 언어 중재에서 부모 참여의 중요성과 시사점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
This systematic literature review aimed to synthesize studies focused on parental involvement in language interventions for school-aged autistic students. A total of eight studies were screened for analysis, most of which implemented interventions with autistic students across various age groups, with more attention given to children under age nine. Only one study included nonspeaking autistic students. Although the focus was on language interventions, only three studies collected and reported primary language usage information for both students and parents. Information on socioeconomic status, which could influence intervention implementation, was reported in only one study. Most of the studies were conducted in hospital or research clinic settings, and none involved parents as the primary interventionists. Many studies aimed to improve social communication skills, with feedback and practice being the most commonly used strategies for parent education. The overall findings of this review suggest that parental involvement in language interventions has a positive impact on autistic students’ development. However, as students beyond elementary age may have unique needs that could influence intervention outcomes, additional research that includes a broader age range is necessary. In addition, this review discusses the significance and implications of parental involvement in language interventions for autistic students based on these findings.
