이 논문은 한국교회가 통일을 준비하기 위해 수행해야 할 가장 중요한 과제 가 진정한 성찬 공동체가 되는 것임을 주장한다. 성찬 공동체가 되기 위해서 는먼저성찬을포함한성례전에대한이해가필요하다. 이논문은먼저테 르툴리아누스의 세 가지 sacramentum 용법을 토대로 성례전의 의미를 세 가 지범주 구원의수단, 신자의서약, 복음의표징 로요약하고, 세범주가 만나는 영역 속에서 성찬을 포함한 성례전이 올바르게 이해될 수 있다고 주 장한다. 이러한 이해를 실천하는 한 방편으로, 이 논문은 제임스 F. 화이트 (James White)가 말한 ‘self-giving’(자기주심, 자기드림, 자기나눔)의 개념 을 제시한다. 성찬을 하나님의 자기주심, 우리의 자기드림과 자기나눔으 로살펴보면, 우리는성찬의풍성한의미를보다잘경험하고실천할수있 다. 이 논문은 자기주심, 자리드림, 자기나눔의 개념으로 성찬을 이해하 고 실천할 때, 교회는 하나님의 구원의 은혜를 기억하고 감사함은 물론, 내 적으로는 구성원들 간의 진정한 교제를 실천하는 페리코레시스 공동체, 외 적으로는 하나님의 사랑과 은혜를 세상에 나타내는 레이투르기아 공동체로 형성될 수 있음을 제시한다. 이 논문은 성찬을 통해 페리코레시스와 레이투 르기아 공동체로 세워지는 것이 한국교회가 지금부터 북한 동포들을 위해 할 수 있는 중요한 일들 중 하나라고 결론짓는다.
Abstract
What does the Korean Church have to prepare for the unification of Korea? This paper argues that building up as the community of the Eucharist is one of the most important tasks the Korean Church has to do. For this, it is necessary to understand what sacraments are. Thus, this paper surveys Tertullian’s three usages of the word, sacramentum, and boils down various meanings of sacraments to three categories: means of salvation, vows of the faithful, and the sign of the gospel. It then emphasizes that the Eucharist must be understood and practiced where the three categories are met. After that, this paper presents James F. White’s concept of self-giving through which to understand and to practice the Eucharist. When actualizing the understanding of the Eucharist based on the concept of self-giving, this paper insists that the church could become the perichoresis community where members of the church enjoy true fellowship of peace and love in Christ, and the leitourgia community which reveals God’s love in the world. This paper concludes that transforming the Korean Church into the pericho- resis and leitourgia community through the Eucharist is what the Korean Church can start now for North Koreans.
