서부 아프리카 코트디부아르 두에꾸에지역 궤에레족과 이주민의 문화적 집단갈등과 분쟁상황에서의 선교

서부 아프리카 코트디부아르는 아프리카에서 가장 아름다운 곳이다. 그러나이 곳은 오래된 내전으로 인해 큰 고통을 받은 지역이기도 하다. 이 곳에서발생한 내전의 원인은 표면적으로 정치적인 문제에서 시작된 것으로 보이지만, 정치적인 원인 뒤에 있는 근본적인 문제는 바로 종족 간의 갈등이다. 코트디부아르는 아프리카에서 살기 좋은 지역이기 때문에, 주변 국가에서 많은 이주민들이 몰려오는 곳이다. 다양한 종족들이 모여들면서 서로의 기득권과 권리를 주장하였고, 정주민과 이주민 간의 갈등이 쌓여오다가, 내전이발생했을 때 갈등이 크게 터져 나온 것이다. 종족 간 갈등의 원인에는 문화적 다양성의 상충(相衝)으로 인한 갈등과 경제적인 문제로 인한 불평등, 내전 당시 종족 차별로 인한 대량 학살에서 그 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 코트디부아르 서북쪽 지역 두에꾸에 시에는 정주민인 궤에레(Guéré)족과 이주민이 함께 살아가고 있다. 이들 또한 내전 과정에서 종족 간의 갈등이 크게 심화되었지만 그 상황을 효율적으로 벗어난 좋은 사례로 인정받고있다. 본 원고는 이들의 상황을 살펴보면서 두에꾸에 시에서 복음 선교의 가능성을 찾아보는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 크게 현지 상황 인식 곧 조사및 제보자들의 사회⋅종교 인구학적 배경을 살펴보고, 종족 관계 및 종족의정체성 유지와 관련한 갈등요인을 검토하면서 종족집단 간 사회⋅문화⋅종교적 양상의 혼종성(混種性) 가운데서 복음전도 가능성을 찾아본다. 현재 두에꾸에 지역의 선교 전망은 매우 밝은 편이다. 이 지역에서 선교를 성공적으로 진행할 수 있는 방법으로는 각 종족 간의 문화를 인정하되한 문화에 치우치지 않는 자세가 필요하다. 또한 선교를 할 때 한 사람 한사람을 소중히 여기고 필요한 사람들을 주변으로 모으는 지혜가 필요하다. 그리고 그들과의 교류를 적극적으로 진행하며 그들을 하나님의 사랑으로 대해야 한다.
Abstract
Cote d'Ivoire in Western Africa is the most beautiful place in Africa, however, it is also the area that suffers greatly because of old civil wars. The cause of the civil war here appears to have originated from political problems, but the fundamental problem behind political reasons is the conflicts between tribes. Since Cote d'Ivoire is a good place to live in Africa, many immigrants come from around the country. As a result of various ethnic groups, conflicts between vested rights and the rights of each other have arisen, and conflict erupted when tensions arose between natives and immigrants. Causes of racial conflict can be found in conflicts caused by contradiction of cultural diversity, inequality caused by economic problems, and genocide resulting from racial discrimination during the civil war. The native people, Guéré and immigrants live together in Duékoué, the northwestern part of Cote d'Ivoire. Their conflicts have greatly intensified in the civil war, however, they are recognized as a good example of the success of the situation. This paper aims to explore the possibility of the evangelical mission in Duékoué by examining their situation. For this purpose, this study investigates not only the local situational awareness, that is social, religious and demographic background of the survey and informants, but also factors of conflicts related to racial relationship and the retention of ethnic identities, and then treats the evangelical possibility in hybridity of social, cultural, and religious aspects between ethnic groups. Now, the prospects for missionary work in this region are very bright. The way in which one can successfully proceed with missionary work in this area is to recognize a culture between each religion, and at the same time one should not biased toward other cultures. In addition, to do mission should cherish one person and have wisdom to gather necessary people around, and also actively exchange with them and treat them as the love of God.
