본 연구는 다니엘이 밤에 보았던 환상에 등장한 “인자와 같은 이”(단 7:13) 의 정체성을 다룬다. 학자들은 이 인물을 신적 메시아로 이해하거나 신실한 성도로해석하되, 이두정체성을양립할수없다고보는입장을강하게견 지해 왔다. 그러나 인자와 같은 이는 영원한 하나님 나라의 군왕이면서 동 시에 종말의 시대에 이 군왕과 연합하여 영화로워질 성도이기도 하다는 점 에서 통합적 정체성을 지닌다. 이 사실을 주장하기 위해 논자는 다니엘서 내에서 전반부와 후반부를 유기적으로 통합시키며 주제를 발전시키는 7장 의 중심축 기능을 제시한다. 다니엘 7장의 묵시적 환상은 에스겔 1장의 선 지자 소명 기사를 인유하여 유기적으로 상호 작용함으로써, 독자에게 인자 는 하나님의 영광의 신성을 지닌 존재임을 암시한다. 뿐만 아니라, 인자는 넷째 짐승의 열한 번째 뿔로 상징된 인간 나라의 왕에게 핍박을 받다가 구 원받는 성도들을 대변한다. 다니엘 환상의 해석 천사는 인자를 종말의 시대 에 옛적부터 항상 계신 분에게 구원받는 성도들로 규정했는데, 이는 그 성 도들이 자신들의 군왕인 인자와 연합하여 얻을 영광을 암시한다.

Abstract

This essay investigates the identity of the “One like a Son of Man” that figures in Daniel’s night vision (Dan 7:13). Scholars tend to take this myste- rious One either to be a divine Messiah in heaven or the faithful Israel on earth in the eschaton, making both absolutely incomparable. It is my contention, however, that the Son of Man has a unified identity. He is to be understood not only as the Messiah King of God’s eternal kingdom but also as the cove- nanted people who will be allowed to participate in their king’s divinity. In support of my argument, I will show the pivotal role of Daniel 7 that connects the former part (Daniel 1-6) with the latter parts (Daniel 7-12) to develop the theme of the whole book of Daniel. The apocalyptic visions in Daniel 7 allude to and interact with the prophetic calling narrative in Ezekiel 1, thereby leading the readers to find the One’s identity to flow from the Glory of God (Ezek 1:28). Moreover, the One represents the saints of God that are under persecution of the eleventh horn of the fourth beast and will finally be saved by the Ancient of Days (Dan 7:22). The angelic interpreter’s identification of the One with these saints implies that the saints will be glorified in the eschaton by their participation in and unification with the divine Messiah.
