바울서신에 나타난 기독교 정체성형성의 목회적 원리들과 적용

초록

본 논문은 교육을 통한 한국 교회 회복과 관련하여 사도 바울의 서신서들에등장하는 기독교 정체성 형성 목회적 원리들을 제안하고 적용하는 시도를한다. 이러한 연구가 가능한 것은 사도 바울의 서신들이 최초 기독교인들을정체성 교육을 통해 온전한 기독교인으로 세우고 유지시키기 위해 보내졌으며, 따라서 그 기능, 목적, 문학적 특성에 있어서 목회 서신이기 때문이다. 한편, 사도 바울은 서신서들을 통해 성도들이 당면한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 시도했는데, 그의 13통의 편지들이 다양함에도 불구하고 그 안에서 일단의 원리들로 작용하는 듯 한 사항들이 발견된다. 이 반복되는 사항들은 교회들의 여러 상황들에 다양한 방식으로 적용되는데, 이는 마치 사도 바울의 목회 원리들로 여겨질 만큼 일관된 모습을 보인다. 따라서 필자는 이 요소들을사도 바울의 기독교 정체성 형성의 목회적 원리들로 결정짓고, 이를 다음의다섯 가지로 제시했다: (1) 권면의 목표: 하나님께 합당한 삶. (2) 권면의 전제: 하나님 주도 사상. (3) 권면의 해석적 기반: 그리스도 중심 사상. (4) 권면의 지속성의 기초: 예수의 재림에 대한 소망. (5) 권면의 방향: 교회 중심적경향. 그리고 결론부에서 이 다섯 가지 원리들을 효과적으로 사용하기 위한몇 가지 제안을 제시했다.

Abstract

In this article, I try to suggest and apply some principles to (re)establish Christian identity found in Paul’s letters for Korean churches needed to be restored through Christian education. The foundation how this research is to come true is that all letters of Paul were dispatched to the earliest Christians who were still requested to be informed and guided by their spiritual leader, Paul, in order that he might encourage and exhort them. Due to this fact, Paul composed pastoral or Christian psychagogical letters for his churches in terms of their function, purpose and literary features. On the other hand, Paul tried to deal with a number of pending questions of the earliest Christians through his letters, but in spite of diversity of his thirteen letters, Paul was likely to use some principles to resolve their various pending questions. These reiterated principles were applied to various and different contexts, but their core concept used to be retained in all aspect. Based on this fact, I tentatively concluded that such reiterated principles were made of Paul’s pastoral ones to (re)establish Christian identity, and can be summarised to the following five categories: (1) aim of exhortation: life worthy of God, (2) preposition of exhortation: concept of God’s initiative, (3) interpretative foundation for exhortation: Christocentric concept, (4) ground for continuation of exhortation: expectation of Jesus’ parousia, (5) orientationof exhortation: community-centred tendency. And in the last section I added some suggestions to apply those five principles to contemporary Korean churches’education.
